By the end of the course delegates will be able to:-
- Map the timeline of a pregnancy the learner can identify how this could impact their service provision
- Have gained an overview on how risks such as unstable mental health, substance misuse, learning disability, teenage mothers’ babies born into care impact pregnancy and birth
- Use the power and control wheel as a tool for learning about domestic abuse in pregnancy.
- Identify Non accidental injuries in babies and the prevention strategies
- Use group safeguarding supervision to explore case study or learning from Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews.
