Tier 2 of The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is for people who may need to provide care and support for autistic people or people with a learning disability.   It is the government’s preferred and recommended training for health and social care staff. The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training comes in two parts. The first part is a free one-hour e-learning module, and the second part is a one-day face-to-face session co-delivered by people with lived experience of a learning disability and autism. The one-day face-to-face session consists of a half-day course on learning disability (morning session) and a half-day course on autism (afternoon session).
