Developing effective assessments and plans for young people who sexually harm

Target group
Staff from a multi-agency audience working with young people who may be at risk.

Aim
This two day course aims to provide each participant with an understanding of effective assessments and interventions with young people who sexually harm. .

Outcomes
By the end of the course delegates will have:

  • explored both the personal and professional attitudes, beliefs and values which underpin this work
  • developed an understanding of effective assessment and treatment approaches and links to improving outcomes
  • understood the importance, purpose and possibilities of working with families
  • learned how to plan and facilitate a session with a young person
  • identified co-working issues and strategies.
