ADHD and learning disability

Target group
All those in a multi-agency who are in regular contact with children.

Aim
This two day course aims to provide an introduction to children's learning difficulties and learning disabilities.

Outcomes
By the end of the course delegates will:

Be able to define signs and symptoms of learning difficulties and learning disabilities including adhd / dyslexia / dispraxia / high functioning autistic spectrum
Have an understanding of, and insight into, the abilities of children who experience these difficulties and disabilities
Be able to outline the best ways to communicate and engage with children and young people with these difficulties and disabilities
Have an understanding of services available to these children and young people and how to access them
Be aware of the impact of these situations on the child / young person and their family
Be aware of best practice issues
