Working in core groups to develop effective care plans
Target group
All those who work regularly with children and may be asked to contribute
to assessment s of need and/or child protection conferences and plans.
Aim
This one day course focuses on the important role that core groups play
within the child protection process and aims to consider with participants
how they can be used as an effective tool for working with children and
their families.
Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- describe the role of the core group in the child protection system and why they are important
- understand their own role in the core group process and contribute effectively to the meeting
- work with the core group to develop and implement effective child protection plans
