Analysing & Collaborating in the Assessment Process
Aim
The aim of this course is to provide front line practitioners, with an
opportunity to consider how they can develop high quality analyses through
evaluating information and communicating and collaborating effectively
with the multi-agency network.
Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will:
- Be able to describe the components of an analysis
- Understand the factors that might affect the analysis of information including their own attitudes, values and the boundaries of their own competence and responsibility
- Understand the way in which communication within multi-agency networks might effect the analysis of information
- Have developed confidence in challenging the views of others within the multi-agency network
- Be able to use research and the literature appropriately to inform their own assessment of the child's needs
