Eileen Munro's Final Report.

Review of Child Protection

As the report makes clear, this must involve the right training and development opportunities. In-Trac’s training has always been based on supporting the use of professional judgement within the frameworks that are there to support sound, consistent practice. We believe that through training, participants can be given the opportunity to not only receive information on the latest research but also to reflect and test out how this can help them in their practice. We believe that in order to do this, training must create a safe environment where both intuitive and analytical reasoning can be explored. Our supervision training his absolutely based on the need for supervisors to assist practitioners on reflecting and analysing - as well as doing!

In short....the Munro report is consistent with our approach to training and the messages we have been promoting on a day to day basis for many years. We hope that we might be able to work with you and your staff to integrate these importance messages into day to day practice.
