Ushma Patel

Ushma Patel is a Children’s Workforce Development Professional with over 18 years experience in Children’s Services, Health and Social Care, including front-line work, operational and strategic roles.

Her recent roles within a Local Safeguarding Children Board, coupled with a MSc in Strategic Training and Development has been a firm foundation for her success as a freelance Children’s Workforce Development Professional. With her commitment to professional development of the children’s workforce, she brings quality and integrity to her work. Through her analytical and strategic approach Ushma has demonstrated effective training and development solutions that are realistic and sustainable.

Her particular areas of interest are in the area of workforce development, safeguarding /child protection in Early Years, the link between leadership and safeguarding in Early Years settings, multi-agency working and the work of the LSCB.
