Marie Berry

Marie Berry is a qualified social worker with a Masters degree. She has worked in the statutory sector for nearly 30 years and has worked extensively in child protection both as a practitioner and at senior management level. Marie worked for many years as an independent chair of child protection conferences.

Marie has designed, delivered, evaluated and consulted on a wide range of training programmes and courses. Her work has included investigation, achieving best evidence, substance abuse and multi-agency working when children are at risk of significant harm. She is an accredited safer recruitment trainer. Marie has worked with the police, social care, health, third sector and education. She has undertaken case reviews and managed serious case reviews. Marie is particularly interested in promoting effective multi-agency working and enabling staff to use research to inform practice.
